Hi, do you remember Blue Bear bookmark I made some time ago? In the post I wrote the pattern. I also made slideshow presentation with the pattern on YouTube. So let's crochet together! :-)
Slideshow with the pattern is on YouTube:
Materials:
1 skein of each color is enough for the project:- yarn Alize Baby Wool and Bamboo - for arms and legs
This is beautiful blue-beige yarn:
- YarnArt Jeans beige – for paws
- Yarn Art brown – for embroidering nose and muzzle
- YarnArt Jeans red – for heart
- crochet hook 2.5 mm
- tapestry needle and sharp needle
- safety eyes (or you can embroider eyes with black thread/floss)
- stuffing
ABBREVIATIONS (USA terminology)
• MR = magic ring
• st = stitch
• sl st = slip stitch
• ch = chain
• tch = turning chain (at the end of a row)
• sc = single crochet
• inc = increase (2 sc in one st)
• dec = decrease (sc2tog)
• (..) = repeat the pattern particular number of times
• [..] = complete number of st in the round / row
• rnd = round
As for the bookmark strip - pattern for this beautiful lace is available on YouTube - designer Natali Korneeva Ribbon Lace Crochet – it is in Russian. Although I don't know Russian, I understood the tutorial, so you will understand it too! The designer explain following steps – click the link to watch the tutorial. Adjust the length of the strip to your needs.
You can also crochet single crochets in rows (with 1 turning chain in the end of every row) to make the simple strip without the lace.
