STAR - EN pattern & tutorial

 

 Hello, this is written pattern for the star. Tutorial is on my YouTube channel.

Materials

- I use yarn Amisia, yellow color. You may use YarnArt Jeans or the yarn you like (then adjust crochet hook)

- crochet hook 2,25 mm

Limb / Arm of a star (make 5)

Rnd 1: 6 sc in MR [6]

Rnd 2: (1sc, inc) x 3 [9] 

Rnd 3: 9 sc

Rnd 4: (1 sc, inc, 1 sc) x 3 [12]

Rnd 5: 12 sc

Rnd 6: (3 sc, inc) x 3 [15]

Rnd 7: 15 sc

Rnd 8: (2 sc, inc, 2 sc) x 3 [18]

Rnd 9: 18 sc

 

Crochet 4 parts, cut the yarn and then crochet 5th part but don't cut the yarn - you will join the parts together. 

JOINING

Rnd 10: work 9 sc on each part x 5 [45]

Rnd 11: (3 sc, dec) x 9 [36]

Rnd 12: (1 sc, dec, 1 sc) x 9 [27]

Rnd 13: (1 sc, dec) x 9 [18]

Rnd 14: (1 sc, dec) x 6 [12]

Rnd 15: (1 sc, dec) x 4 [8]

Cut the yarn, leave a tail to close the opening.

Add safety eyes, beads or embroider the eyes and smile.

Then work rnds 10-15 the same way on the other side. 

Don't forget to stuff the star before you close the opening.

In rnd 10 work 9 sc but it is better to make decreases
in the corners to avoid holes between the limbs. On each limb you may work for example:
dec, 7 sc, dec [9]
Decreases are in the corners. Adjust it to your way of crocheting.
